I Will Wear My Own Shoes As General Secretary – Elvis Afriyie Ankrah

Director of Elections of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Elvis Afriyie Ankrah says as General Secretary he will wear his own shoes and not attempt to be a carbon copy of outgoing General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketiah. Speaking with Ghnewsnow, Mr. Afriyie Ankrah who is vying for the General Secretary position in the upcoming internal General Elections acknowledged the sterling leadership Mr. Asiedu Nketiah has offered the party but stated that he will offer his own unique brand of leadership if voted into office as the next General Secretary of the party.

“After having served for 17 years as General Secretary of such a formidable party as NDC, I think that Johnson Asiedu Nketiah has made history, he has made his mark… his shoes are very big shoes to fill and therefore I’m going to wear my own shoes, I won’t attempt to wear his shoes, he told Kwesi E. Baako in an interview.

Mr. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah is contesting the position with Deputy General Secretary, Peter Boamah Otokunor and Former MP for Ketu South and former Deputy Finance Minister, Fiifi Kwettey.
