Support Akufo-Addo to Win Home Base Support-SK Boafo

The former Ashanti regional minister S.K Boafo has implored NPP supporters  in the Ashanti region to support the party’s presidential candidate Nana Addo to achieve his target of winning 80% votes in the party’s acclaimed ‘world bank’.

Lawyer Boafo observed that even though Nana Akufo Addo is in the region with several big wigs of the party, he is not enjoying the massive reception he used to receive in Kumasi.

‘We need to win power, I was disturbed when we went round, the massive reception we always get wasn’t there’.

The former Ashanti regional minister urged the regional chairman Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly known as ‘Wontumi’ and other regional executives to work hard to ensure that Nana Addo’s vision is not wasted.

‘Get the men to visit the markets, offices, shops, villages and talk to the women to vote for us. Even if National Democratic Congress (NDC) have ten teams, we will beat them to it in the game,’ he stressed.

He expressed his concern whiles addressing some selected 17 constituency executives of Ashanti region in Kumasi as part of the flagbearer’s ‘rise and build’ tour in the region.

He also described traditional rulers in Ghana as important personalities who need to be respected by the party especially the party’s parliamentary candidates.

He expressed fear that traditional authorities may silently campaign against the party and its parliamentary candidates if the needed respect is not accorded to them.

‘The chiefs and pastors are very important you should visit them, even if the pastor is fake or not visit them and request for prayers, they will realise that parliamentary candidates have respect for them, they will therefore encourage their households, church members to vote for us,’ he encouraged.

‘You don’t have to disrespect your chiefs, they are very important, all the candidates should visit them, they have been expecting us, so go to them,’ he admonished.
