NPP-NY Embarks On Membership Drive

Saturday, November 12th, 2022, at 590 Flatbush Avenue, history was made as the current NPP-NY leadership and Membership touched base with its origins in Brooklyn.

Under the auspices of NPP-NY Chapter, Chairman Frank Antwi, Special guest, Hon.Kingsley Atta Boafo, and leaders of the chapter, the party decided to embark on a membership drive to increase its membership base in the New York area.

The meeting was convened with the dual purpose of re-energizing the current base as well as start  a drive to increase its membership.

“We want to establish structures across the five boroughs and beyond. We want to be the first party to have structures at unit level in the USA ,” Chairman Antwi said.

“You know, Ghanaians in Brooklyn are so enthusiastic about NPP being active all these years. Thus, we have to match our words with actions by reaching out to the chapter, if possible to have a chapter because there are a lots of NPP supporters in this borough. Henry Bonsu, a member of NPP-NY said.

Oheneba Yaw Boakye, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of NPP New York Chapter, for honoring the Legacy of his late father Oheneba Nana Yaw Boakye snr. and his group at the same house.

Special Guest, Consul General , Hon. Kingsley Atta – Boafo spoke on the economic situation in Ghana. He told the gathering that what is going on in Ghana at the moment is only a reflection of  global trends and not peculiar to the country.

He admonished Ghanaians back home to have patience.
