Regent Hunts Zabzugu Headmaster For Sacking Eight Students

Headmaster for Zabzugu Senior High School Osman Halidu Marcarious has flee the school following a pressure mounted on him by Regent of the cutoff Northern community to readmit some eight students sacked for gross misconduct.

Eight students all females were asked to go home after the school disciplinary committee found them guilty of inflicting “terrible injuries” to junior students.

The students are Shani Hamdia, Abdulai Rahima, Sayibu Nimatu, Mohamed Humu, Ibrahim Rashida, Iddirisu Yakubu Zeinab and Braimah Rahinatu all final year.

They accused the junior students of spreading gossip about them and made them to “kneel on chippings and flogged them with sponges” until their bodies become bloody, document sited by GhoneNews states .

School authorities after finding them guilty initially withdrew them from the boarding House and asked them to bring their parents to sign a bond.

The students however refused  but rather packed out from the school and sought refuge at the regent’s palace.

The regent according to  GhoneNews sources unconditionally without hesitation  accommodated the sacked students and demanding their readmission.

He has reportedly issued threats to the headmaster after meetings with palace elders failed to compromise his stance.

The headmaster has therefore flee the school following the regular visits of palace elders to the school and the increasing summons to the chief palace.

Speaking to GHoneNews, Mr. Marcarious however denied fleeing the school but said he was away because he lost a relative.

He added the decision was to curb the increasing students indiscipline and pleaded with the regent to rather assist authority arrest the menace.
