BREAKING: Veteran Ghanaian Coach Fred Osam-Doudu Is Dead

Former Ghana Football Coach Fred Osam Doudu has passed on in Accra on Tuesday.

President of the Ghana coaches Association and member of the GFA Technical Directorate, Sam Arday confirmed the demise to newsmen.
“Yes he died today (Tuesday) at 5:30pm and we will be visiting the family tomorrow”, he said.
“He  has been unwell for sometime now but we were notified by the family about his death this evening”, he added.
Coach Osam-Duodu won the 1993 U-20 African Cup of Nations and a silver medal at the 1993 FIFA World Youth Championships. He was also Ghana’s coach during the 2002 African Cup of Nations , held in Mali.
Mr Osam-Duodu, who has handled the Black Stars more than any of his compatriots (five times), was also a senior CAF Technical Director and organised courses for coaches in several African countries.
The 1978 African Cup winning coach was also a member of the British FA Coaches Association.
