Mahama Celebrates Christmas With Bole Kids

President John Mahama and First Lady Lordina Mahama spent Christmas Day with some children in the Bole/Bamboi Constituency, the President’s hometown in the Northern Region.1.8511921

“I thank God for the gift of life, health and the opportunity to share the love of the season with the children of Bole/Bamboi,” Mr Mahama said in a Facebook post.

The First Lady, ahead of Christmas, presented a quantity of food and non-food items to two orphanages in the Greater Accra Region in fulfilment of her annual Christmas donation to the less-privileged in society.1.8511915The beneficiary Homes, Osu Children’s Home and the Christ Faith Children’s Home at Fafraha, received bags of rice, cartons of milo and milk, gallons of oil, boxes of tomato paste, chocolates, assorted drinks, biscuits, clothes and toys.

Mrs. Mahama, who is the President of the Lordina Foundation, has adopted the country’s orphanages and makes periodic donations to support the upkeep of the children. The Foundation also provides support to the caregivers in the Homes and helping with infrastructure to improve the conditions in some Homes.1.8511919At the Christ Faith Children’s Home at Fafraha, Mr. Kofi Adu-Boahene praised the First Lady for her kindness noting that “apart from festive seasons she also donates items occasionally to the Home, for which we are very grateful.”
