Al Jazeera Releases Documentary On Anas Exposé

Qatar-based Al Jazeera TV has released a documentary on undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his quest to expose judicial rot in Ghana.
According to an article published by the international media organisation, the documentary dubbed ‘Justice!’ seeks to explore “an insider look at this most unconventional reporter on his most controversial story yet, at the dreadful ethical dilemmas involved, at his fears for his own and his family’s safety and the pressures exerted to silence him.”

Through painstaking undercover investigations over a period of two years, Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team gathered audio-visuals that implicated several officials including high profile judges of the judiciary.

Twelve High Court and 22 lower court judges, and 140 court officials were caught accepting all forms of bribes ranging from cash to yams and goats in order to pervert justice.

The Chief Justice set up a 5-member committee to probe the allegations.

The documentary was produced by Ron McCullagh of independent production company InsightTWI.

Justice! premiered on Al Jazeera English on Sunday, November 2, 2015 and will be repeated on Tuesday, November 24 at 0100 and Wednesday November 25 at 0600 GMT.
