Fulani Herdsmen Flee Kwahu Praso Over Death Threats

Fulani herdsmen in Kwahu Praso in the Eastern region are reportedly fleeing the area as they fear for their lives.

It follows the gruesome murder of a chainsaw operator and his son.

The two men were shot in the bush while cutting timber by persons suspected to be Fulanis.

It’s unclear if the latest incident is a reprisal attack following the killing of some Fulani herdsmen in the Afram Plains recently.

Elvis Nyarko, a resident of Kwahu Praso in an interview with Starr News said the Fulani herdsmen are suspected to have carried out the attack on the chainsaw operator and his son and fear the residents might carry out similar attacks on them.

Meanwhile, Police in the area have launched a manhunt for the nomads.
