NPP Targets 80% Votes In Ashanti Region For Power

The Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says his party is targeting 80% of votes in the Ashanti Region.

Speaking on the first day of his three -day Rise and Build tour in the Region, the former Attorney General said, “My main target in the Ashanti Region is to win 80% of votes in the 2016 election. If we work together and solve our internal crisis, I will be the next president of the Ghana in 2016”, he said

Nana Addo is being accompanied by National Organizer John Boadu, National Women’s Organizer Otiko Afisa Gyaba, and Member of Parliament for Mampong, Francis Addai Nimo, and Mr. Alan Kyeremateng amongst others.

Nana Akuffo Addo in the next two days will meet party executives, former Members of Parliament and Ministers, party sympathizers, some identifiable groups such as artisans, students’ body as well as opinion leaders.

The Flagbearer will on Friday meet party Executives at Akrofuom, Fomena, Obuasi East, Obuasi West, Bekwai, Odotobri, Manso Nkwanta, Manso Adubia, Atwima Mponua, Atwima Kwanwoma, Atwima Nwabiagya North, Atwima Nwabiagya South, Ahafo Ano North, Ahafo Ano South East and Ahafo Ano South West.

Manhyia North, Manhyia South, Oforikrom, Suame, Old Tafo Pankrono, Kwadaso, Bantama, Asokwa, Offinso North, Offinso South and Bosomtwe will as well feature on the day three of the tour.

The month-long tour, which began on September 3, 2015, has seen him visit, seven regions – Volta, Eastern, Upper West, Upper East, Northern, Western and Central region which is to foster co-operation amongst party supporters as the basis for a successful 2016 campaign.

Nana Akufo-Addo will end the first phase of his “Rise and Build Tour” on Monday, October 12, 2015, with the Greater Accra Region being his last port of call.
