Black Star Line Cooperative Credit Union to Hold AGM

The Black Star Line Cooperative Credit Union (BSLCCU) is to hold its second Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday November 30 at 3 pm at the Credit Union’s office on the Community 18 road off the Spintex road. The AGM will afford the board the opportunity to account for its stewardship of the Union since the last AGM in October last year.

The BSLCCU was formed in 2009 by the Rastafari Council, Ghana and has a membership which is global. The Union targets Pan African minded individuals and organizations and has a number of satellite operations to support its activities.

According to the Board Chairperson of the Union, Madam Naomi Palmer-Buchanan, BSLCCU intends to develop an investment focus to strengthen the wealth creation capacities of its members. At the BSLCCU’s last AGM, a board was elected to take over the reins of administration from the interim management team established by the Rastfari Council. Other elected officers of the union were for the Loans and Supervisory committees.
