Audio : Ghanaians Must Be Terrorist Conscious – IGP

The Inspector General of Police, John Kudalor has called on Ghanaians to be terrorism conscious in order to argument Police anti-terrorism effort.

In a speech read on his behalf by Director General of Police Operation, COP Christian Tetteh Yehuno during the commissioning of an ultra modern Police station at Nkwatia in the Eastern region on Saturday, the IGP said, terrorism incidents in neighboring countries attest to the fact that terrorist activities are closer to Ghana therefore the need for Ghanaians to be on alert to give timely information’s to Police when suspicious characters are identified.

He stated that, as a result of terrorism alert, people must refrain from picking strange items on the ground since it could be a planted bomb.

He assured the preparedness of Police against terrorism byt added, that can be fully executed with the effective support of the public. The IGP also assured the general public of ensuring peaceful polls in the 2016 Presidential and Parliamentary election.

The Chief of staff, Julius Debrah donated Ghc10,000 and 200 bags of cement to support construction of bungalow for police officers that would be posted to the area. He commended the initiative of the natives of Nkwatia for the self help project executed.

The Ultra modern police station was constructed by Nkwatia Development Foundation.
