Kotoko General Manager Opoku Nti Honored In Libya

General Manager, Opoku Nti had two happy moments on Sunday evening in Libya.The first was with the news that, the team they left in the care of Operations Manager, George Kennedy and Assistant Coach Michael Osei have beaten Aduana Stars 1-0 to win the maiden FirsTrust G-6 tournament in Sekondi.

The second had to do with the recognition and honour given to him by the Sports Ministry in Libya for his dedicated service to football as an ex-Kotoko and Black Stars player and now as an administrator.

An elated Opoku Nti told Asantekotokosc.com in an interview that, the team has been received nicely since their arrival Saturday.Sunday’s press conference to officially welcome the Porcupines added to their excitement, he pointed out.

“Shortly after our arrival on Saturday, the contingent was escorted by 15 armed security cars from the Airport to the Raddison Blu Hotel.

We trained on Sunday and have been working hard to be in good shape” he stated. “Everything has been fine. We have been happy. They respect Kotoko so much” added the General Manager.Accra Representative, Edmund Ackah also had something to say.

“After training on Sunday, the Libyan Sports Ministry conferred honours on General Manager, Opoku Nti in acknowledgement of legendary status.

The Libyans have been extremely happy with our presence and we are gearing up for the main objective of coming here” Ackah added.

The Porcupines are billed to face Al Ittihad on Wednesday afternoon.
