SHOCKER: Inmate Poisoned At Kumasi Central Prisons Listen To Audio

The Ashanti Regional Criminal and Investigations Department of the Ghana police Service has commenced investigations into the death of an inmate who is alleged to have been poisoned resulting in his death at Kumasi central prisons.

Police Investigations reveals that the inmate (Name withheld ) was poison by his close relatives through food to cover up some information they fear the deceased may leak vital information to the police while serving his remand term for a crime the deceased has committed.

It’s not clear whether the deceased took the poisoned food in the prison yard or at the court premise whiles going for trial.

According to the Prisons PRO, the inmate died at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital after a short illness.

Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Ashanti regional prisons service Richard Bukari who confirmed the death of the inmate told ghnewsnow Kumasi reporter Isaac Bediako said, until the autopsy report is out the command will not react to the allegation.

Meanwhile Ashanti regional crime officer Mr. Peter Baba has confirmed arrest of some relatives of the deceased but decline to give further information.
