Kumas: Man Grabbed for Defrauding Rental Company

A young man in his mid 30s identified as Kwasi Tabiri has been held hostage by a number of rental service providers at Atonsu in the Kumasi metropolis for allegedly   defrauding them to the tune of GH ¢ 5,000 .

Kwasi Tabiri according to owners of the company, rented some funeral decors, canopies and furniture for a funeral at Affiduasi Dadieso but after the event absconded after taking the money from the funeral arrangements committee but failed to do same.

“All attempts to however locate him and retrieve our monies proved futile”, they said.

According to the victims, they made a civil arrest after a tip off that the suspect was hiding at techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region.

When ultimate106.com visited the area, the suspect was confined in a storeroom   with no efforts by victims to hand him over to the police.

They believe they can retrieve their money before they hand him to the police.

Steven Awuah Nyarko owner of the rental company promise to release the suspect on condition that his family offers to offset the amount owed.
