Reprimand Or Reassign Stan Dogbey Now, Kweku Baako Tells President Mahama

Veteran Journalist Abdul Malik Kweku Baako has urged President John Mahama to reassign Director of Communications at the Presidency, Stan Dogbey over his continuous misconduct that is attracting negative publicity for himself and the seat of government.

He emphasized the importance for the President to distance himself from Stan’s misbehavior by immediately reprimanding him publicly.

Stan Dogbey has been in the news for some time now, always getting negative publicity in the manner in which he conducts his official duties as the Spokesperson at the Presidency.

He came under attack by the public after he reportedly seized and crushed a recorder belonging to a journalist working with the state Broadcaster Uniiq FM when the reporter on assignment visited the 37 Military Hospital, at a time that victims of the accident involving members of the Presidential Press Corp had been rushed to the health facility.

Earlier this week, he launched a scathing attack on the media after a section of it reported wrongly that the Presidential press corps had been involved in yet another accident after following the president on an assignment in the western region.

But speaking on Peace FM, Wednesday, Abdul Malik Kweku Baako stated that President Mahama will do himself a lot of good by taking an action against Stan Dogbey.

“He must reassign Stan or publicly condemn his conduct. President Kuffour did the same against Isaac Edumadze when he gave him a stern warning to act in an acceptable manner or risk being sacked. That way, he the President will have distanced himself from his appointee’s misconduct”.

He added that knowing President Mahama too well, he is confident that the President does not condone such unruly behavior.
