Court to Hear Case Against Anas’ Video Today

An Accra High court will this morning rule on an interlocutory injunction motion filed by some high profile judges and magistrates challenging the disciplinary proceedings initiated against them.

These judges and magistrates have been implicated in the latest judicial corruption scandal uncovered by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

They were captured on video and audio allegedly collecting bribes on cases they were adjudicating.

The judges and magistrates are unsatisfied with the composition of the Disciplinary Committee of the Judicial Council currently investigating them.

Meanwhile, the court will also make a ruling on whether it is legal to publicly show the video which captures the alleged corrupt activities of the judges.

Anas and his team have, however, insisted that the video will be shown regardless of the attempts to block it.
