ARC ANNOUNCES 2nd EDITION OF EXCELLENCE AWARDS

The African Re-branding Consortium has announced this year’s edition of their coveted Annual Excellence Awards .Last year the ARC honored actors John Dumelo and Mercy Asiedu as well as gospel artists Lady Tiffany and Elder Kenneth Appiah for their contributions.

This year, the ARC is joining forces with the African Trumpet newspaper and Cultural Ambassadors Foundation to broaden the scope to include personalities and organizations from all disciplines.

Jerry Kwabena Kansis, event coordinator says the goal of this Awards Program is “to recognize individuals who have made significant distinctive contributions to advancing the image and perception of Africans and other minorities in the United States of America”.

The event is under the theme “Africa on the Rise” and is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th, 2013 at the Tropical Reflections Ballroom, 4501 Glenwood Road, Brooklyn, NY.

Mr. Kansis also revealed that this year’s recognition categories include but not limited to Associations, Not-for-profit organizations, Churches, Businesses, Health professionals, Social Workers, Actors, Media Professionals, Musicians/Promoters, Supermodels, Scholars, Entrepreneurs and prominent contributors to the African community.
